Lake Henry wedding venue
Lake Henry is a lakeside tipi wedding venue in the heart of North Yorkshire. Sitting in over 10 acres of breath-taking scenery it offers exclusive use and the most fabulous overnight accommodation for you and your wedding guests. The wedding village is completely self contained, the sleeping pods are cosy and there is a communal fire pit for chilly evenings. The wedding team at Lake Henry are fully encouraging of your ideas to make your wedding day different and unique, so if you choose a full on festival or a romantic and elegant lakeside affair your day will be one to remember.
Lake Henry is made up of 4 permanent tipis and able to host weddings for up to 160 guests and knowing how unpredictable our wonderful British weather can be you know you’ll always have space for everyone to shelter until the sun comes back out. The tipis are spacious and light and a perfect blank canvas for you to decorate as you wish. The neutral backdrop of these tipis will suit whatever your chosen theme or colour. A huge external decking area is filled with seating and tables so if you are blessed with great weather you can make use of this fabulous space.
The tipi has a space dedicated to your evening entertainment be that live music or a DJ. The lighting inside the tipis provides the perfect ambience and your guests will love to party the evening away. Nina, the wedding co-ordinator has her own little black book of wedding suppliers that she has worked with and trusts. You will have access to all this information.
You have probably spent months or years planning your perfect day but why keep it to just a day. Lake Henry can sleep up to 90 guests so you could also have pre and post wedding parties if you wanted longer than a one day event. The pods are deceptively spacious, offer real home comforts and are very affordable. They are built in a horse shoe shape. As a result children or those seeking a relaxed stay can be placed on the fringes of the noise and further away from the main area.
There is a self service breakfast shack at the top of the horseshoe. Here you can have the most amazing bacon and sausage sandwiches. (I can vouch for these !) The wedding couple take the master suite as you deserve something a little extra special.
Your Lake Henry wedding day
I will begin your wedding day arriving 2 hours before your ceremony. Initially I will photograph those special little preparation photos that will be the first pages of your wedding album. I’m very much a candid photographer who likes to tell the story of the day as it unfolds.
There will be a point in the day where I will suggest some portrait photos of you both. We can make use of the fabulous surroundings of the lake, woodlands and quaint pathways this venue has to offer.
I take the all important family and group photos quickly and efficiently. As a result you will have a record of who was there to share your day. I will be with you throughout the day to photograph your ceremony, wedding speeches. Also your first dance and all the in between moments that you can’t even plan for. Finishing after your first dance if the dance floor is full with guests ready to impress with their moves. I’m more than happy to stay and catch them.
Most of my wedding packages all include a wedding album. They all include a digital download of your fully edited gallery.
