Stepney Hill Farm
Stepney Hill farm is a family run farm sitting on the outskirts of Scarborough. Owned and managed by the Tyson family since 1966 it is a working farm that uses traditional farming methods to produce the most amazing meat for their shop, tearoom and events.
This rustic and charming wedding venue boasts a barn that can hold up to 200 wedding guests. there is a central fire pit, 10 huge rustic tables with benches and a fully stocked bar. The barn looks fabulous as is but can be decorated as you wish making your day truly unique to you. Ashley and Nicola and their dedicated wedding team cater for a host of different events and their experience means your wedding day will be one to remember.
Fully licenced for wedding ceremonies you can marry outside with a panoramic view of Scarborough. Alternatively you can move your ceremony indoors should the weather turn. Bark covers the seating area and a concrete floor provides a stage like dance floor for you evening celebrations. Guests will enjoy toasting marshmallows on the firepit or simply sitting and enjoying a drink in the cosy yet spacious surroundings.
Stepney Hill pride themselves on supplying quality food for your wedding day. A hog or lamb roast, barbeque, afternoon teas are just some of the many choices available to you for your day.
A shepherds hut is available for the couple to spend their wedding night. Breath taking views await you, as does an award winning breakfast for the morning after.
For you wedding preparations I will join you wherever you’ve chosen to get ready 2 hours before your ceremony. Prep photos are a lovely addition to your wedding album. These photos are candid and relaxed and just a record of you enjoying this time with your friends.
Whether you’ve chosen to have your ceremony at Stepney Hill or somewhere else I will arrive there before you do to photograph your guests arrivals and more importantly , yours. Photo are taken through the ceremony in an unobtrusive manner so as not to detract from this very precious time.

I will have asked you for a list of any family photos you would like. We will do these quickly and efficiently with minimal fuss. I do think having a few family photos is important. These are a record of those you loved enough to be here on this day with you.
I would encourage a short couples portrait session for you both. Stepney Hill has lots of beautiful areas to make use of for your wedding photos. If there’s somewhere else you’d like to go as well, let me know. Maybe you have somewhere that’s special to you both or you’d like some beach photos in Scarborough. I’m happy to jump in my car and take you there.
The barn at Stepney Hill has the seating arranged in such a way that you will be able to give your wedding speeches from you table. As a result everyone can see and hear you. I love wedding speeches. A perfect mixture of laughter and tears makes for some fabulous candid photos of both you and your guests.
You wedding breakfast will evolve into your evening celebrations without anyone having to move out. I love that the dance floor is separate and nobody needs to vacate whilst the room is turned around. The fire will be lit and hopefully you’ve remembered marshmallows for toasting !
Whether you’ve chosen a live wedding band of a DJ there is lots of space for them and everyone else on the dance floor. There is space for a photobooth or you could bring a simple frame with you to photograph all your wedding guests and make up a collage.
If there are guests dancing I will stay to grab some dance floor action photos before heading home. Finally I’ll edit your sneak peek ready for the next morning.
