Wedding supplier
As you can imagine I meet a lot of wedding suppliers and some I’m lucky enough to work with over and over again. When I have wedding meetings with couples they will often ask who I would recommend for a videographer, hairdresser, or a wedding makeup artist, I get asked who makes wedding cakes or do I know someone to look after the dog.
A great subject for a blog I think, a blog that will keep growing as I add more suppliers to it. The tough part about writing some blogs is finding the photos through the many thousands I have in my library, hence why it’s going to be a “work in progress” kind of blog so do keep popping back.

Wedding Makeup–
If you are looking for a wedding makeup artist, it is important to do your research and choose someone who is experienced, reliable, and has a portfolio of work that you love. A professional make up artist will want to schedule a trial run before your wedding day to ensure that you are happy with the makeup look and to make any necessary adjustments.
Kate Rodgers MUA– I have worked with Kate Rodgers for over 5 years now and we’ve been to a lot of weddings together. Kate is based in Scarborough, she is calm and relaxing to work alongside. I find her happy, chatty and so very kind. Kate’s makeup photographs beautifully and I’m always delighted when I read that my brides have chosen her for their wedding makeup.

Ellie Fenwick – Ellie is an award winning bridal and event makeup artist based in Malton. She specialises in luxury soft glam and natural bridal makeup. Wedding Hair –
A wedding hairdresser is a professional hairstylist who specializes in creating beautiful and unique hairstyles for brides on their wedding day. They are trained to work with a variety of hair types and textures, and can create styles that range from elegant updos to loose, flowing curls. When working with a bride, a wedding hairdresser will typically start by conducting a consultation to discuss the bride’s vision for her hairstyle, as well as any concerns she may have. They may also consider the bride’s dress, wedding theme, and the overall style of the wedding when creating the perfect hairstyle.
It is important to choose a wedding hairdresser who is experienced, reliable, and has a portfolio of work that you love. You may also want to schedule a trial run before the wedding day to make sure you are happy with your chosen hairstyle and to make changes if necessary.
Kirsty at Novia- Kirsty is based in Scarborough where she runs her own salon. Kirsty is an exceptional hairdresser who specializes in contemporary bridal hair. She works either from her salon in Scarborough or on locations at your wedding venue. With almost 10 years experience she truly is an artist and an absolute delight to work alongside.

Anna Green- Anna is based in Malton and has owned her own salon for 11 years and been hairdressing since 2006. Anna is quite possibly the bubbliest, happiest person I’ve ever met. She is always smiling, and is a very calming influence on your wedding morning.

Wedding Videography-
A wedding videographer is a professional who specializes in creating a cinematic video of a couple’s wedding day. Their role is to capture the highlights of the wedding day and turn them into a beautiful, emotional, and timeless keepsake that the couple can cherish for years to come. A wedding video is a priceless keepsake that will allow you to relive the memories of your special day for years to come. Choosing the right wedding videographer is an important decision, and one that will require careful consideration and research to ensure that you get the best possible results.
Skytographer Wedding Films- Gav and I did our first wedding together in 2018 where within 5 minutes of meeting I jumped into his van and took my top off, that’s the story he tells, in reality it was one of the hottest days on record and I’d worn a thermal vest underneath my top, so yes I kind of did I suppose. Since that first meeting he’s been a close and dear friend, he’s also a genius with a video camera and drone. Gav and I bounce ideas off each other so you get the very best from your photos and video.
He’s my number one when couples ask for a recommendation. He steals sweets from your candy cart, hats from your grandma, does up the grooms tie, fastens the kids shirts and he’ll even lend you his boots for a muddy field.

Magicians- In addition to entertaining guests, a wedding magician can also serve as a unique and memorable way to break the ice and get guests mingling and talking to each other. They are a fun and interactive element for guests and wedding couples and add a unique and unforgettable element to your wedding celebration. Their magic tricks and illusions will leave your guests amazed and entertained, making your special day even more memorable.
Tim Lichfield – comes highly recommended by me and pretty much everyone who’s met him. Seeing Tim at a wedding means I’m going to get amazing photos of the surprise and confusion on couples and their guests faces as he does his amazing array of magic. He’s the best and I LOVE him !

Florist– Wedding flowers add a touch of natural beauty, colour, and fragrance to your wedding and help to create a specific atmosphere or theme. When choosing wedding flowers, it’s important to consider factors such as the season, color scheme, and overall style of the wedding. It’s also important to work with a professional florist who can help you choose the right flowers, create beautiful arrangements, and ensure that everything is delivered and set up on time.
Minnie Bees- I’ve known Kirsty for quite some time now as we worked on our first wedding together nearly 4 years ago. She works very closely with her clients and understands that you want your wedding to be unique and memorable. Kirsty will ensure that your wedding flowers reflect that. Kirsty is based near Scarborough but travels throughout the region and beyond for your wedding flowers and bouquets.

Celebrant- A wedding celebrant is a person who officiates a wedding ceremony. Unlike a religious officiant, a wedding celebrant is typically not affiliated with any particular religion or denomination, and can perform ceremonies that are non-denominational or interfaith in nature.
Wedding celebrants work closely with the couple to create a personalized and meaningful ceremony that reflects their values, beliefs, and personalities. They can offer guidance and support throughout the planning process, and can help the couple craft vows and select readings, music, and other elements of the ceremony.
Karen King has been a celebrant since 2018. Wonderfully warm and funny she has the most amazing ability to personalise your wedding day. Your guests will love hearing the way she recounts the key moments of your lives and listen to funny and emotional stories on your journey as couple that has brought you to this moment when you “tie the knot”.

Dog Chaperone Services– Dogs are a big part of weddings now with the majority of venues I photograph at allowing them both on site and included. There are certain parts of the day though where dogs possibly aren’t the wisest idea in particular during your wedding breakfast and the night time celebrations.
Everdhor dog services. Holly is a close friend, neighbour, she looks after my dogs when I’m away and one of our gang was actually bred by her. What Holly also does is a dog chaperone service. You dog can stay with Holly in her home, where they will be pampered and loved. She will bring them to your wedding for the wedding photos and then take them home again until you’re ready to pick them up.

This list is ever growing and by no means exclusive. I’m always on hand to offer advice with wedding suppliers x
