Bradbury Glade is located in the heart of County Durham. This wedding venue sits inside 60 acres of woodland and is 3 giant tipis that can host a wedding with up to 150 guests. The fully stocked bar, indoor firepits, amazing food by Canvas Catering and breath taking forest views make this hidden gem of a wedding venue well worth discovering. Your wedding ceremony will take place in the charming wooden barn. This gives you complete privacy leaving you to celebrate your wedding day with as big a party atmosphere as you wish to have.
The tipi’s are spacious and warm with wooden floors throughout. These provide the perfect blank canvas for you to decorate and add your own special touches to make the day uniquely you. There is a chill out area where comfy chesterfield sofas sit beside the fire pit. This provides a relaxed place for anyone wanting a bit of a breather before hitting the dance floor. As the evening draws in the festoon lights provide a beautiful ambience as you begin your wedding night celebrations.
I will join you on the morning of your wedding for your prep photos. Coming to wherever you’ve chosen to get ready some 2 hours before your ceremony I love this time to be able to take candid in the moment photos of you and your friends as you prepare for the day ahead. I will take photos of your dress or suit, shoes, your jewellery and all the details you spent time choosing for your day. These photos make a fabulous first few pages for your wedding album.
I’ll make my way to the venue so I can photograph your guests and your arrival. The venue has a fabulous open space where your guests can gather and be greeted by your partner before making their way into the wooden barn. The barn has wooden bench seating and is open fronted to let the light flood in. You get a real sense of an outdoor wedding but with protection from our sometimes unpredictable British weather.
With your vows said the guests will be asked to stand and you’ll walk back down the aisle to rapturous applause and cheers of congratulations. Your first walk as a married couple.

You’ll be met with a welcome drink and your guests will want to offer their good wishes. While we have a captive audience I’d suggest a group photo. An important record of those you love and who spent this day with you and a double page spread for your wedding album.
As canapes are being served this is the ideal opportunity for any group and family photos you’d like to have taken. I’ll have sent a wedding questionnaire in the weeks leading up to your wedding day. On this you can write any photos you’d like. This list makes for a very quick and efficient photo session. I’ll probably ask a bridesmaid or groomsmen to help with the process of gathering people so nobody is stood around waiting for too long.
With guests being fed and watered we could use this time to steal away for some wedding portraits of you both. This is a very relaxed time where I will gently pose you so your photos look natural. Many couples say they loved this little piece of time away to spend a few precious moments together.
Bradbury Glade has a wide open space facing the tipis so is ideal for garden games. Unsurprisingly wedding guests absolutely love these and they are great for candid photos. The kids often don’t get a look in as the adults put on their competition hats.
Your guests will be escorted into the tipi and you will be announced in. Bradbury glade have teamed up with Canvas Catering and the food is out of this world. From fabulous street food to a full on gastro dinner and everything in between the choices are endless.
For your wedding speeches you can take to the dance floor in full view of all your guests. The inbuilt sound system ensures everyone can here your humorous anecdotes and heart warming stories before sitting down to enjoy your meal.
Afterwards you and your guests can enjoy a breather in the chill out space. Alternatively you might like to take advantage of the evening sun for some photos outside. The 3rd tipi provides space for a full dance floor and your music choice. Live band or DJ, the choice is yours. The acoustics are fabulous and guests can enjoy the music from their table, the sofas or on the dance floor. I always stay a little later to catch some action photos of you all enjoying your wedding evening.
My full day wedding packages cover your day from 2 hours before your wedding ceremony until after your first dance. I include a photobook or wedding album in these packages. The reason being I feel it’s really important to print the memories of your day. This is a keepsake to enjoy and share for many years to come.
