Deepdale Farm wedding venue
Deepdale Farm nestles on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and is a DIY rustic barn wedding venue. It offers quirky spaces, spectacular views, wooden barns and a camping field. It is the perfect blank canvas for you to design a wedding day that is uniquely you.
The main barn at Deepdale will be the heart of your day and where the majority of your celebrations will take place. The barn has seating for 150 guests and is already dressed with drapes and festoon lights. All that it needs is your own personal touches.
The ceremony barn where you will say your vows adjoins the main barn and is licenced for wedding ceremonies. Following your ceremony this can be used as a games room, for serving food or as a chill out space.
Nestled in the corner of the venue is the Grillkota. With an open fire pit this fabulous space is used in the evenings particularly it there’s a chill in the air. The venue provides acres of open space. Seated decking areas provide a fabulous vantage point. Also the fully stocked bar with vintage tractor stools is the perfect place from where to enjoy all the celebrations of your wedding day.
Deepdale Farm is an animal friendly wedding venue so your pets will be made to feel very welcome.
Included in your wedding package is a log cabin. This cosy cabin sleeps 4 and has a hot tub. What better way to spend the pre wedding evening with your friends before beginning your preparations for the day ahead.
I will join you for prep photos 2 hours before your ceremony, this fun time is a joy to photograph. There’s no awkward posing. Just a record of you and your friends and loved ones as you all prepare for the day ahead. Candid hair and makeup photos, your dress and shoes all make fabulous first pages in your wedding album.
Personal touches can be added to your arrival at the aisle. Whether that be on horseback, in your Dad’s vintage car and everything in between.
Whether you choose to have chairs for your guests during your ceremony or bales of straw the barn gives rustic charm. And with light flooding in you will have some fabulous photographs of this most special part of your wedding day.
Congratulations you’re married ! Guests will love the opportunity to take photos of you as you sign the register. I’ll be waiting at the bottom of the aisle to photograph you as you walk through raptures of applause and shouts of delight. Your guests will want to offer you their good wishes so I’ll stand back at this point and take candid photos of them doing just that.
This is the perfect point in your day to gather everyone for a group photo if you wanted one. Also those all important family and friends photos. Before your wedding day I’ll have sent a pre wedding questionnaire for you to fill in. On this you can write down any photos you’d like but particularly any groups. I use this list and will grab a bridesmaid or groomsman to gather people. This means we can do these photos quickly so as not to keep you and your guests standing around too long.
I would urge you to direct your guests to the bar and maybe canapes and steal away for a few minutes to yourselves. This will give us a chance to take some portrait photos of you both. It’s also a chance to spend a little bit of special time together out of a very busy day. Too often couples will reflect on their day and be surprised at how little time they actually spent together. Take it now. Look at each other, smile, kiss and say yay, we got married !
Deepdale has wonderful views over fields and woodlands and has very quick access to the North York Moors. There are endless opportunities for your wedding photographs. I am also very happy to jump in my car and take you somewhere. The moors are beautiful in late summer with purple heather as far as the eye can see. Hutton le Hole is close by with quaint little bridges and a pretty stream running through. There are also several guests houses and B&B’s here for your guests should they wish to stay.
With Deepdale Farm being a DIY venue you have so much choice when it comes to catering. I’ve seen weddings with packed lunches, pizza vans or afternoon teas so you can really have the day you want. The main barn seats 150 guests, long tables and benches give a street party feel to your wedding breakfast. And, of course, a brilliant setting for candid photographs.
With no need for anyone to move the wedding breakfast will naturally evolve into your evening celebrations. There is a stage with backdrop and fairy lights for your chosen music, be that a live band or a DJ.
If you would like night time photos we can do this before or after your first dance. Of course I’m always happy to stay a little longer of there’s plenty of dance floor action.
I am based just 10 minutes away from Deepdale Farm and as such have fabulous local knowledge of the surrounding area. My full day packages all begin 2 hours before your wedding prep until around half an hour after your first dance.
