Styled wedding photoshoot at Scarborough Spa
A styled wedding shoot is a creative way to showcase unique ideas, themes, and trends in the world of wedding planning. The beauty of a styled shoot lies in the attention to detail and I was delighted to have been asked asked to join Gee Events to photograph a shoot that she has been meticulously planning for many weeks. The shoot was a collab of some of Scarborough’s best wedding suppliers and the fabulous team was complete with Hannah from The Wedding Room and Belle Ame Faux Fleurs .
Collaborating on a shoot is a chance to create stunning tablescapes, floral arrangements, and décor that fit a specific theme or season and every element is thoughtfully chosen to tell a cohesive story. Georgia & Jade chose 2 themes, a vibrant and strong colourway, mixing blues greens and purples giving an opulent look and a pastel, springtime theme giving softer colours and gentle hues, matching perfectly with the neutral backdrop of the venue itself. Hannah brought along the most amazing dresses and suits for our models to wear and was also chief hairstylist for the day, this is a girl of many talents !
For photographers, a styled shoot is an opportunity to experiment with lighting, composition, and styling, I don’t experiment on wedding days so this gives me the chance to practice more creative ideas with models without the time constraints of a wedding day. Styled shoots also gives brides and grooms a tangible vision of how their own wedding could look if they decide to go with certain trends, colours, or themes.
