Hackness Grange was formerly the Hall’s dower house that was built in the early 19th century, and, after a brief spell as a country club, it was transformed into a hotel just after World War II. Since then, the hotel has gone through a number of changes but now is a stunning wedding venue owned by The Gilchrist Collection.

Your wedding day will begin in the beautifully decorated and aptly named, getting ready room. This spacious room is brightly lit, boasts a huge makeup station, high hooks for your wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses, it’s own bathroom and a huge full length mirror.

The Elizabeth suit holds upto 120 wedding guests and is bathed in natural light. Huge windows overlook the grounds giving the perfect backdrop for your ceremony photographs.
For the more intimate wedding The Derwent is suitable for numbers upto 50, and again you will marry in front of a huge window with glorious views of the gardens.

The Pavilion is set across a bridge and sits on it’s very own island. It gives a simple yet rustic charm as it stands or can be beautifully dressed. The sides of the pavilion walls are fastened down in the winter months giving a warmer enclosed space. In summer they are opened up to let the warmth of the sun and the light fall through.
