Boudoir is a niche of portrait photography that embraces you and your body. It’s tasteful and artistic, with nudity that is implied rather than shown. You will leave your boudoir session feeling empowered, beautiful and confident and will be amazed at the fun you had doing it.
I’ve yet to meet a woman who loves every part of her body, there are bits we love and bits we’d swap if we could. I don’t like my legs for example but I do think I have nice boobs. I like my shoulders and back but my bums a tad on the large size. What I realised after my own boudoir session was that they’re all a part of me and if my husband loves my “flaws” then I can too.
What I love about my job and in particular boudoir shoots is encouraging you out of your shell and showing just how beautiful you are. Because lets be honest, us women are amazing. We have blemishes and scars that tell the journey of our life and these are to be embraced not hidden. A boudoir shoot will change how you look at yourself because we all deserve to see how beautiful we are.
I have worked with Hackness Grange for some time now and as one of their recommended wedding suppliers we have an excellent, close working relationship. I am delighted to have been given access to their beautiful bridal suite and it’s from here that I’ll be doing my boudoir photoshoots. We will use our time to make you feel comfortable and take some fabulous portraits of you which will then be printed into a beautifully bound album for you to give to your partner either as a special gift from you to them to mark a special occasion or on the morning wedding day. This is a gift for you, from you, for them.
I don’t have a shot list from which I work, I prefer to let the session evolve so your photos are a reflection of you. Every female body is different and I want you to see what is beautiful about yours. You may choose to have a bridal or non bridal boudoir the time is yours.
I genuinely feel that every woman should do at least one boudoir in her lifetime, you may find the thought daunting, but I think you’ll leave feeling empowered having had great fun. Heck, I did it, so you can too !
So what do you need to bring ?
I have veils, gowns and accessories for you to borrow so you just need to bring your smile. All I want is for you to leave feeling amazing, how much skin you choose to show is entirely up to you. The most important thing is you’re going to have fun and show how amazing you are inside and out.
I have 5 photo slots available on each of the following dates Tuesday 25th April and Monday 26th June.
The photo session lasts 90 minutes. You will receive your photos in a gallery which is password protected and yours to download. From here you will choose the photos that will be put into your album. The album can be brought by me and given to your partner on the morning of your wedding or it can be posted to you. It will arrive in a paper lined box and, I’m sure, will be treasured by you both for many years to come.
The sessions are priced at £300. A £100 deposit is required to book with the remaining balance being due 2 days before.
